From our Family to Yours, we hope and pray that everyone in your life is healthy and feeling well. To say we are living in uncertain times is a massive understatement and fear is normal. However, Faith is what fuels us through times of fear and uncertainty. Many of you have reached out to see if our office is open during this crisis. Please rest assured that as Healthcare Providers, treating patients is what we do. The Infection Control and Anti-viral protocols that we have practiced for 30 years to protect our Patients and Staff from viruses stronger than Covid-19 is what the rest of the world is just catching up to now. So the answer is YES we are open for treating emergency patients on an as needed basis and taking care of patient's needs. Our On-Site Laboratory also makes us uniquely qualified to handle emergencies in a timely and efficient way.

Additionally, many dental offices on Staten Island and Brooklyn have simply shut their doors completely during this crisis leaving many patients with emergencies and potential infections in need. The last thing we want is for those patients to resort to emergency rooms when hospitals and staff are already extremely overburdened. Rest assured that we and our On-Site Lab are welcoming new emergency patients in need, to treat you and your family in a timely and safe way.

We are also working on a proprietary method to perform consultations using tele-dentistry and should have a method on-line to help patients with that soon.

Humans are resilient, New Yorkers even more than most!!! We will get through this. We are here to help however we can.

Pop Stars and Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry treatments such as teeth whitening, the placement of porcelain veneers, and gum recontouring can produce a more attractive smile in any patient; Staten Island cosmetic dentist Joseph Mormino performs these and other treatments to address dental flaws such as discolored, chipped, crooked, and gapped teeth. Many celebrities, including pop stars Hilary Duff, Miley Cyrus, and Jessica Simpson, undergo these treatments to improve the appearance of their smiles.

Hilary Duff

Many cosmetic dentists and bloggers have gone on the record in saying that Hilary Duff's dentist placed porcelain veneers that are much too long for the former Disney star's face. The actress and pop singer started out with small teeth that did not have a lot of length, and ended up with veneers that were a little too large for her face. While the porcelain veneers did give Duff a more mature look, the results of her cosmetic dentistry treatment were so dramatic that the public immediately knew that the star had undergone a smile makeover. Duff appears to have later undergone a porcelain veneers revision procedure to minimize the appearance of her teeth.

Miley Cyrus

Although she does not mention it in interviews, Miley Cyrus famously underwent cosmetic dentistry treatments when she was in her younger teenage years. Experts suspect that the Hannah Montana star's smile makeover included the placement of porcelain veneers and laser gum recontouring. The procedures minimized the appearance of Cyrus' gummy smile and gave her teeth a straighter, more uniform appearance.

Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson appears to have undergone professional teeth whitening treatment at some point in the past. At one point in her career, her teeth were such a stark shade of white, it was almost hard to look directly at them. Staten Island teeth whitening expert Joseph Mormino says that the bleaching procedure has grown in popularity in recent years due to the availability of whitening treatments that can be done at home. However, the vast majority of celebrities undergo professional teeth whitening to make sure that their pearly whites are camera ready from any angle, in any lighting situation, and no matter what shade of lipstick they are wearing.
