About the Treatment

When you come to our office for a consultation, Dr. Mormino will fully examine your damaged teeth and the health of your gums. He can then determine whether you are a candidate for the procedure. Any gum disease or tooth decay will require attention before proceeding with this treatment. Jawbone recession may also need to be resolved before placing implants.

If Smiles Tomorrow is right for you, digital imaging and other technology will be used to plan your treatment. Next, a surgeon will place your implants. Impressions will be taken of the jaw and implants, and these impressions will guide technicians in creating your bridge in our our on-site lab. Smiles Tomorrow incorporates a unique interdependency between the implants and the bridge. Much like a crossbar is used to support individual fence posts, we use a similar concept to achieve excellent stability and facilitate faster integration of the implants with the jawbone.

This treatment typically requires five to six implants for a full-arch restoration, although treatment can be tailored to those who only need a partial bridge.  When your bridge is complete - usually the day after implant surgery - we can attach it to your implants and make any adjustments to ensure proper fit and comfort.

Unlike traditional dental implants and an implant-supported bridge, which can require months of recovery before function is fully restored, Smiles Tomorrow uses advanced techniques to deliver fast and effective results. Thanks to extensive research, training, and sophisticated methods, we can often place implants and restore them with a custom bridge in a span of about 24 hours. We understand that if you have been suffering from a compromised smile, you want to achieve relief as soon as possible, and that is exactly what we are prepared to deliver.
